Legends of Islam

This set is a introduction into the lifes of some of the greatest warriors in the history of the world. Muslims living today should know about the Great Heroes of Islam and these lectures are an excellent way to introduce us to these Great Heroes of Islam. We all need role models and who better to be our role models than the people who sacrificed there families, wealth and lives to honour this deen. It is the sacrifies of such men that the deen came to us today and unless we follow there example, how will the deen continue down to the generations to come insha'allah.

Salahuddin Ayoobi
Imam Bukhari
Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab

The Conqueror of the World

A towering figure, they say that when he used to be in the market place amongst the people, it would seem as though he is on horseback! A staunch character, firm in upholding the law of Islam; a person who walks around at night seeking to aid his people. When he would walk on one side of the street the Shaytan would avoid him and go on the opposite side! A Caliph that spent his night and day caring and looking after his Ummah, first to set up policing in the Muslim Ummah. Yet a Caliph that would weep until his beard would be soaked. An inspirational talk on the life and character of Umar ibn Al-Khattab.

The Battle Of Ahzab

And when the believers saw AlAhzab (the Confederates), they said: "This is what Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) had spoken the truth, and it only added to their faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah). Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah [i.e. they have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers], of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred), and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed [i.e.they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah] in the least. 33:22-23

Sprinting the Last Ten Days of Ramadan

"Verily, We sent it down in the night of al-Qadr. And what will make you know what the night of al-Qadr is? The night of al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Spirit by their Lord's permission with all Decrees. Peace! Until the appearance of dawn."(Al-Qadr: 1-5)

Are You Ready For Ramadan?

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.(2:185)

The Ladder Of Satan

This lecture describes the steps Satan takes to lead people astray starting with Shirk then bid'ah then major sins, also unveils the plots of Satan as they are described to us through the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The struggle against Iblees and his party- may Allahs curse upon him- is a great battle which this enemy of Allah persisted in undertaking since the pursuit against Adam (as) and his offspring. He is at work all the time, at every moment, at every available opportunity, manipulating any circumstances and continuing his chase from every conceivable angle. The Lord of the Worlds, Blessed and exalted has informed us about this.

Calling All Witnesses

When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake. And when the earth throws out its burdens, And man will say: "What is the matter with it?" That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil). Because your Lord has inspired it. That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. [Az-Zalzala]

The Way of the Prophets

All the Prophets, from the first to the last brought the same message: to worship Allah alone, without any partners. In our time the message still remains, in the form of the Holy Qur'an, and the guidance of the final Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). This talk, The Way of the Prophets, demonstrates how the only way to salvation is to follow these two sources of guidance.

The Prophets

All the prophets, from the first to the last brought the same message: to worship Allah alone, without any partners. In our time the message still remains in the form of the Noble Qur'an, and the Guidance of the final Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). This presentation is beneficial for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Related to discussions on Tawheed, the belief in the Prophets is an essential of the Islamic creed. The speaker explains the proper belief a believer should have in the prophethood of the Muhammad (saw). In addition the speaker shows examples of the errors in Biblical texts regarding the lives of the Prophets.

Angels and Jinns

The world of human beings, plants and animals is only that which meets the eye. Yet Allah has also created the Angels and the Jinns. All of this creation worships Him. It is an aspect of the Muslim's belief to accept the existence of other beings. Allah Almighty says: “Behold! Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; those who believe and guard against evil. For them are glad tidings, in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.” The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) explained the glad tidings of the life of this world to be dreams. He said it is: “the good dream that a Muslim sees or is seen for him” The world of dreams is an amazing and intriguing one. The early scholar of Islam Ibn Qutaybah says: “There is nothing that people deal with from the different sciences that is more obscure, delicate, exalted, noble, difficult, and problematic than dreams, because they are a type of revelation and a kind of prophethood”.
